Rockspoon Industries is the exclusive supplier of Optional Laser Eye and PAPR Protection (1060-1100nm) CleanAIR® Systems for Personal Laser Respiratory Protection based on the principle of overpressure of filtered air in the breathing zone. The respirator is placed on the wearer’s belt and filters the air that is taken in from the surrounding environment and then delivers it through a breathing tube into a Laser protective hood. The Flip Up Hood is Laser Class 4, 1060nm-1070nm Laser Eye Protection when in use. Note: Turn off Laser to view the cleaning progress, the operator simply flips up the Laser Eye Protection Hood and is still protected by a clear grinding shield.

The current standard is to wear laser-safety eyeglasses. However, with the latest Laser technology, which uses extra laser power and adds infrared reflection, this may not be adequate eye protection in many applications.

Rockspoon Laser is the first to offer an extra optional Laser Safety-Protected Helmet with PAPR and Laser Class 4 (900-1100 nm) Eye Protection.

All Rockspoon Laser Safety-supplied eyewear meets or exceeds ANSI Standards for the appropriate laser safety systems. When buying laser safety glasses or face shields, be sure to select the laser glasses to block or attenuate the appropriate wavelength range and Optical Density (OD). The operating parameters of your laser, or a Certified Laser Safety Officer (LSO), will determine what laser safety glasses you should use.

All our laser safety equipment meets or exceeds the Australian/USA/European/Industry standard ANSI Z136.1, which requires use with the appropriate laser systems.
